This is Badger, a character illustration I did for the upcoming ttrpg "Dawn of Glass". I like his face very much. :)

An anthropomorphic honeybadger is jumping into view, laser guns blazing. He is wearing a heavy security vest and has is hair done to a mohawk.
The image is done in greyscale with only the laser fire done in red.

An anthropomorphic honeybadger is jumping into view, laser guns blazing. Its a very rough concept with scribbled lines and two 3D guns.

This is the cover illustration for a project I worked on with @jpstories I'm very excited to see what comes of it and what you think of it. The style for the project is - as you can see - something very unique, which I have a lot of fun with and hope that it will stand out from the crowd.

The illustration is in 4 colors - white, black, blue and red, without gradations. A man sits in front of a fire, behind him four stone pillars with roughly carved symbols rise, between which gates to other worlds open. In one you see a cyberpunk world, in the next a dragon and in the third a space station.

So excited to finally be able to drop this massive art piece! This is a commission from a friend of their D&D party, The Red Sparrows. It's maybe the single piece I've spent the most time with, and since I've drawn these characters before it was super exciting to get to revisit them :D

I'll probably make another separate post for some closeups!

A male tiefling sitting on a chair and writing in a book. He has stopped and is looking over his shoulder at the other end of the room. He has a slightly annoyed look on his face. He has long hair tied back into a ponytail, swept back horns, pointed ears and a devil tail. He has small glasses and a scruffy start of a beard. He has flower tattoos on his neck. He has a long vest on, and a loose shirt that is open showing part of his chest. He has boots on and has a quill in hand. There is a candle next to his note book, a shelf full of books above his desk, and a sword affixed to the wall. There is a window behind him.

Some of the Zweihander RPG adventures our team had. We all rolled on the non human table, and ended up with a Halfing, two elves, and a Ogre. A peasant revolt was had, Willow went feral on some of the Baron's guards, some wolves were killed, some wolves adopted, and a forest god were seen.

A male tiefling, a devilish humanoid with swept back horns and a long devil tail. He has long hair with two chunky bangs and the rest of this hair is pulled back into a ponytail. He is wearing a red tunic and white shirt under it. He is sitting with his head bowed forward, his legs crossed and his tail curled around his legs. He has a coat next to him on a bench below a window. You can look out onto a sky that depicts a cloudy day in a medieval city. There is a shadow on the ground in the shape of a person coming towards the tiefling.

A musketeer like D&D character portrait of a man with a van dyke beard, dressed in simple leather tunic, doublet, boots and gauntlets, with ornate pauldron and basket hilt rapier, and green/blue sash and hat feather. Part of a multi character private commission.
A pipe smoking dwarven druid character with ornate wooden armour (designed to resemble a natural or grown version of Viking door post carvings), he carries an ornate staff. Part of another separate multi character portrait.

Here's a lil re-do of my character portrait for my half-drow soulknife rogue Zakiir. I've been experimenting with different styles and # brushes recently, but it's been ages since I did something more paint-oriented.

Alicia ir'Bellerose was a character I played in a Eberron campaign a while back. A fey pact warlock who was cheerful, kind, and slowly being twisted by fey powers into something she wasn't... I miss her a lot, though I gotta say warlocks being so limited in their spell slots was such a hassle.😅

Four drawings on a page.
A Young woman named Alicia with log blonde hair with bangs that swoop upwards. She is smiling and has green blue eyes along with bright freckles all over her face. She is wearing a high collard military style jacket in grey blue with pink accents. There is a rose design on her shoulder. She is also wearing a duelling cape in dark pink with rose designs in gold embroidered on it. It is fastened with a rose broach.
The second drawing has Alicia but her eyes are now glowing pink, her freckles are pink and she has a scary look on her face. Her hair has started turning pink at the ends as well. There is a note next to her that says: Dryad blood? Archfey pact?
The third image has Alicia looking embarrassed, blushing but with a smile on her face. She is saying "A noble? Me? Oh no no no no...drat. Am I that obvious? Knew I should have brought simpler clothes but these are my favourite.
The fourth Image has Alicia on her knees, crying with her hair being blown by the wind. She is in a fancier military outfit.

An illustration in white and pink. A young woman with long hair and freckles and a warm smile. She is wearing a loose blouse with a vest over top and pants that cut off below the knee. She is kneeling on the ground with her hands touching the dirt. A rose is growing where her hands are.

During the last stream of "Blutige Segel" you could see the image of Blutbucht in the background.
I thought I'd show it again in its entirety, we're hiding most of it. 😉

There is a big, tropical forest with mangrove trees that dip their roots into the water. The tree in the foreground is so big that a whole city, build from wood and sails is build into it. There are bridges and stairs all over the trunk and branches. Between the roots, there is a harbour with two sailing ships. From a gab in the roots, you see a waterfall which spills red water into the harbour. The red water comes from rust and gives blood bay its name.

I would love to meet more ttrpg artist out here !

Something a little different today...
This is a #, typical # scale (i.e.1" = 5') # I'm working on. In downtime between actual work, I thought it might be fun to build some # "# #" for some ship-to-ship combat I was planning to run. In the end I've not had time to complete them (but still hope to), but I did use the skiff/elven # as a plot device in my "Cold Comfort" game last year, even if they only saw an image of it.
# # # #
An ornate elven flying ship or gondola flies through the air above a mountain pass - A photo manipulation of the model I built of the gondola, dropped into a photo backdrop and with the side wings filled in using Procreate, the figure on board is a WizKids miniature, placed in for scale.
The model of the gondola sat in the chaos of my 3D model building table, surrounded by card and paper debris and tools. In the background is a part built larger ship I am building at the same time (if you have any questions about the design and build,Bor any art questions, feel free to ask, I'll answer as best as I can).
A front view of the model looking down the body of the gondola to show the shape of the "upper)central sail", plus how the wings look when moved to the "swung wide" position (background blurred to hide the "visual noise" of the desk).
A close up of the prow detailing, achieved by drawing out the shapes and sweeping forms and then using a cri-cut device to "print/cut" them out of thick(ish) watercolour paper, then glueing them around the prow. I've now used this technique a few times, and have been pretty happy with it (background blurred to hide the "visual noise" of the desk).

"I think he said we own THAT one!"

# # # # # # # # #
More work towards ongoing # projects. Here a group of # seem to to have been gifted the documents that prove the own a #, only they might have got a little more than they bargained for.

I don't paint enough flying ships...

(This is the image in my intro toot, & so was a chance to address the lack of alt text for that image too.)
Three armed adventurers in a typical pseudo-medieval port setting seem to be discussing the content of a document being read over by the harbour master and his "heavy". It seems to revolve around a large hovering "flying ship" in the background, other characters (dockside merchants/business folk) in the foreground discuss the scene amongst themselves. The adventurers appear to be an armoured human paladin, a halfling and perhaps a half-orc, all other characters appear human.
Detail of the larger image: Well dressed dock side merchants, one counting out money on a barrel top table.
Detail of the larger image: Our three principle adventurers, a half orc seemingly bewildered by the forthcoming information, a human paladin pointing to the ship whilst talking to, a halfling with their back to us.
Detail of the larger image: a curmudgeonly looking harbour master pours over a set of official documents with a number of seals attached, while their "heavy"/bodyguard looks over their shoulder nosily.
