I'm presenting you today another #illumination, showing some kind of #Tree of life, from the Aberdeen #Bestiary.
The tree is sheltering the doves from two angry #dragons.
As always, homemade paints, golden #watercolour, and lots of tedious work! Arches watercolour paper, size 20 x 20 cm.

Today I tried to read a paper on a meadow and it suddenly started to pour. I ran for the nearest tree and continued reading. Water drops slowly pockmarked the page I read. Another tree picture, started at the tree drawing workshop and finished at home. This is the Linden tree in our local park where all the birds seem to live. I'm really happy with how it turned out - I tried really hard not to overwork the looser areas of the picture!
