Currently redoing my recent sketches in digital, more of this style to come as I am having a lot of fun with it.

Goat skull, pink / orange flower covering the eye one the right and ivy spiralling around the horn on the left

Ink illustrations I made from specimens at a zoology laboratory in 2019. I get to do it again in a couple of weeks. I’m a member of the Southern Ontario Nature and Science Illustrators. # # # # # # # # # # #
Skull of hornbill. Cranorrhinus corrugatis. The skull has a large eye socket, a long curving bill, and a bony mass atop the bill. I used crosshatching in the background to make the skull pop from the page.
Some sort of shiny Black Sea urchin. It has no spikes. Instead, it is made of platelets similar to that on the shell of a tortoise. It is round and dined with a bony fringe around its circumference.

Whilst 3d modeling should never totally replace handmade, it is an exciting tool to work with.
It's bit like the dastardly AI that shouldn't be used just for the sake of it, but as an addition to existing techniques and crossover projects. That's my Ted-talk, thanks for coming.

Being new to # I thought I'd add some of my # here!
This is my first experiment with using # pens alongside #.
I don't think my old camera picked up the metallics very well though, unfortunately.

I don't do a lot of digital art these days, but last year I fancied drawing some # studies in # . When I have more downtime, I hope to fit some more Krita sketches in! #

(marked as sensitive due to skulls.)
This is a drawing of a skull with a bullet impact above its left eye. It's missing part of the right part of its maxilla. The mandible is done in flats but not textured.
This is another drawing of a skull. The parietal and frontal bones are a cool white, whereas the subsurface scattering from the eye sockets and nasal cavity are a warmer ivory colour. Again, mandible sketched out but not refined.
This is a drawing of a skull. It has a sharp silhouette, and large hatched brushes shade the temporal bones. The bone starts from a warm beige, shifts to a brick red, and then into a warm grey, from left to right.

I had a nightmare about this piece when I was painting it, but I was under an NDA so I couldn't talk about it! Crawling Infestation for MTG.

Beetles, centipedes, spiders and other bugs crawl over a massive deer skull with huge horns. There is a spiderweb between horns.

But you have to fight it and make it cry tears of gold’✨
