I took a character design class a few years back (even as a seasoned artist, I recommend them!) and one task was to design a pirate. Being a huge # fan (play the new one!!) I jumped at the chance and did a bit of research on female pirates, turn out Jacquotte Delahaye was a total badass (look her up), a character that could totally anchor a game, series or movie all by herself so this # was meant to bring her to life, pretty happy with the results.
