Another fresh image specifically for #. It took some drive to find this spot since Gold Coast is scarce for nice rocks and rock platforms. I have always enjoyed # action, whooshes and splashes.

I used Hoya ND8 for this shot.

an evening seascape with dramatic skies and black and orange rocks with some water flowing over the rocks from the incoming wave

'Observer' is today's # post. I waited for a gap during a stormy dull morning and as I was getting ready to pack up it finally opened. The gull and myself stood there in awe.

a dramatic seascape with the stormy sky and big waves. There is a gap somewhere and sun rays are beaming through adding to the drama. The seagull is standing at the beach watching the show.

Autumn Owl

Nothing like a wise owl to keep me company on a crisp autumn day. Such a cool experience, I really enjoy seeing owl's out in nature and truly enjoyed photographing this barred owl resting while traveling the Natchez Trace in north MS.

Great horned owl duet this morning — listen carefully. Not a great video — it's all about the audio! — but can see a bit of dawn's glow on the horizon (to the left). Cold this morning — first frost of the season.

Have a good day. 🦉🦉

I'm not very good at landscape photography, or I've never done enough of it.

I tend to prefer abstract photos, of which I will post more.

But here's a shot of Golitha Falls in Cornwall taken with my previous camera but two, a Nikon D70s.

I really need to get a wide lens!

The Crosscountry train to tiny town…

Fujifilm X-T1 35 mm f/1.4 @ f/4 13 s ISO 200
Hoya R72 infrared pass filter
The image is a 3 wide by 2 high monochrome digital photograph. A large oak with multiple trunks is at the right of the frame. Branches reach up and across the scene, with Spanish moss draped from them. The infrared filter used to take the photograph renders the sun-warmed leaves and background foliage in bright tones compared to the tree trunk.

Another day, another image.

Today, we have a siskin - taken in my back garden - through the window!
Well, he was just sitting there asking for his portrait to be taken...

The Esplanade And The Castle - Lynn

One from early 2020, when COVID restrictions were in place.

A black and white photo looking from the Esplanade towards Edinburgh Castle, which is enveloped in haar (sea mist). Taken during COVID restrictions, the esplanade is empty apart from two distant figures. Edinburgh, Scotland.

Looks threatening, all the more so since there was a tornado nearby yesterday. But apparently harmless in the end.

Dabei könnte man einfach Tags 🏷️ verwenden. Aber neeeeiiiiin 🥴 # #
