Roadrunner

Nice and calm, but slightly getting nervous, I think 🤔

# # # # # # # # #
A roadrunner is sitting on a dead plant in a area with some dormant grass.

Removed this large Fire Salamander from the well.

It either lived there (the well is mostly dry due to a leak) or it got syphoned into it with today's heavy #. It was resting on top of the only bit of rock that stood above the water surface.

Any advice on how/where to release this fella? I know they need access to water so I might need to find a stream or pond of sorts in the vicinity.

I'm learning Rebelle 7! It's great for when you want your digital art to have a more traditional feeling. 🥀

Critique and comments welcome 🤍

We have such fond memories of that evening! 🩵 It was one of the best nights we spent in Norway. The atmosphere was so special, the silence almost eerie and the view simply unbeatable. 🚐🌄😊

We're already looking forward to our next adventures in the far north! 🇳🇴

Gravel road in the wide landscapes of Norway. The sun is just setting behind a bank of clouds and makes a sun star. A black van stands at the side of the road.

Another fresh image specifically for #. It took some drive to find this spot since Gold Coast is scarce for nice rocks and rock platforms. I have always enjoyed # action, whooshes and splashes.

I used Hoya ND8 for this shot.

'Observer' is today's # post. I waited for a gap during a stormy dull morning and as I was getting ready to pack up it finally opened. The gull and myself stood there in awe.

a dramatic seascape with the stormy sky and big waves. There is a gap somewhere and sun rays are beaming through adding to the drama. The seagull is standing at the beach watching the show.

Rewilding and Pond Restoration programs can teach us so much. Even better is incorporating additional phytoremediation as needed.

Feast your eyes on my new & improved otter for #! I’ve painted so many otters but could only find this one picture for comparison, from a little over a year ago: https://mastodon.art/@KarinWanderer/109445033759759404

I've finally finished this painting that absolutely intimidated me because I spent so much time on the drawing part, I was afraid I'd ruin it

Watercolor painting. The hands of a goddess, covered in roses and sleeves of wheat, reach out to a hive of bees hanging in an almond tree. The honey bees buzz around her hands in greeting.

It. Is. Finished!!!
I still don’t have a name for the piece 😅
But I am happy 😊

I really hope it snows this year! Can you tell my kid named this one? I'm aiming to fundraise for new furniture this year. Our couches & mattresses are falling apart & causing us pain, so please check out my work & get some prints for yourself or others!

Hi! I'm Monday, I'm a vtuber-to-be who loves tea and sweets and indie and retro games! I'm still making my design and picking the first games to test. But I love her so far and I'm excited to share my journey here!

For now this space will be an excuse to talk tea and also to document my learning process. (Vroid textures are intense!) I'd love to hang out with fellow tea fans, baking fans, and geeks!

More impermanent art on fallen leaves. Here, a sycamore. It’s a bit like writing a letter then burning it. There’s something very healing in drawing on a leaf, with certain intentions and feelings in mind, and then letting it go. Under the tree that it fell from, then into the river that keeps it alive. A very meaningful little ritual I can’t recommend enough. 💚

Me holding up a bright yellow sycamore leaf against the backdrop of the tree where it came from, and the river that feeds it. The leaf is covered in intricate black doodles, mostly little vines and swirls and leaves.

Garden Snail 🐌 I might have to make mini prints of this cutie.

Patrons on my upper tiers have access to a timelapse video. You can watch me draw this from start to finish!

I certainly wasn’t expecting this on my walk today! I am in the middle of nowhere, mid-way through my outing and some 3-4 km from the nearest house or car park! Spooky!

(You get a bonus ‘Spot the Dog’ to play with in the second image!)

Mountains seem pretty permanent, and yet not just an earthquake, but weather, water, and time can change their form. Boulders cascading down a draw once were part of a mountain, and now make their way downward in a (generally slow) shift and change to the landscape.
