Hello! I'm a transplant from artisan.chat so I figure an #introduction is in order.

I'm an #artist and work mainly with #watercolor. My favorite subjects are animals of all kinds and I paint a lot of #PetPortraits and #rainbow colored animals. I also bounce around between #crafts (thank you #adhd) like #knitting, #crochet, #sewing (with an emphasis on #VisibleMending), and whatever new thing that I just have to try.

I did not finish a weekly sketch this week because I was to busy with other things but I finished some crafts for my artist table at the next con. Key holder boards, four made from wood with transfer prints on them, made with art potch and one holder made using a small glass frame, where the picture can be changed. Projet créatif [redif 2017] : Boîtes de fromage turc ~30 cm x12, papier recyclé Amazon, décor à base de feutre noir/doré, blanco précision.
Je les ai offertes à 3 ingrates, avec chacune un kit de crochets, aiguilles + 3 pelotes + ciseaux vintage, pr garnir.

Je doute qu'elle aient été ouvertes un jour, mais je reste contente de les avoir fait et tout à fait ravie du rendu blanc or noir et papier recyclé.
En revanche le blanc machine : plus jamais sans ventilation !

A few weeks ago, I finished a five week bookmaking class at a local art center in my neighborhood. I have really wanted to do something with my hands and I've had such a great time making these books - it almost was like meditation. Doing it has helped me be more comfortable with learning from my mistakes. I'm so glad I did it!

My first time needle felting, recently discovered a video on combining crochet and needle felting and had to try it! Doesn't look like all that much yet, but I think it's coming along well, though I am not sure I should ever wash it 🫣 I'm afraid the felting might come off...

I'm looking for a new instance ! Spending time on the Fedi made me realize that I wasn't as into the general FOSS discussion as I thought I would be, and sadly I've been spending less and less time on the Local feed. Does anyone have some recommendations for an instance that focuses on artistic creation involving programming and #electronics (preferably using FOSS), #crafts and general "#making of stuff with one's own hands" ?

I used pieces of Baltic amber in these hairpins (I got them many years ago from a geologist-collector).
Among them I even found a piece in which there is a fragment of something that looks like some kind of plant.

This specimen is somewhere in my collection, if I find it, I will take a photo.
