Text reads "Amarante reference sheet." It shows various ink drawings of an androgynous woman wearing casual clothes. Hoodie, patchy ripped up pants, hiking boots. She has a long black braid. Then, more text: "Ama originally had stylish pentagrams on her jacket, but they were removed to reduce cisual noise. I have a bad habit of adding as much detail as possible to my art, so Old Souls was a challenge I imposed on myself to crack that habit."
Text reads "Amarante face studies." A page of bust shots of Amarante with slight style variations that impose different proportions on her face. Her hair is shaggier in some than others. A little star with arrows points to the artist's favourites, which are simplified quite nicely. Then, a list of consistency notes: " Amarante. Long black braid. Hair over ears. Thick brows. Big eyes. Pronounced lower lip fold. Upturned, dark lips. For quicker art rendering this comic will be drawn with soft shapes. Curved edges instead of sharp points."

An info page about robots in the Apex Society Universe. Unfortunately there's too much text to fit in the word limit here. I'll have to summarize. <br /><br />First touches on artificial beings created through magic, like Golems and Hephaestus' handmaidens. Then there's the story of the mechanical soldiers that guarded holy relics of the Buddha. Then Yan Shi of 4th Century China who built a lifelike artificial man out of wood and leather. Then a mention of the automatons of the underground civilization the Vril-Ya. Then the clockwork woman Olimpia built by Dr. Coppelius. Then the word robot being coined by Rossum's Universal Robots. <br /><br />After that, there's the Freemechs - freed robot workers from Counter-Earth who set themselves up on the Counter-Earth moon of Kapek as a safe haven for mechanical lifeforms. <br /><br />Then the story of Robo Sol Incvictus, built in the 50s to battle the superhero Sol Invictus - but reprogrammed to act just like him. He was eventually relocated to Kapek.<br /><br />Finally, there's C.R.A.S.H. (Crimefighting Robot Army with Synthetic Hivemind), an army of robots resembling crash test dummies who share a single mind. They were built by Krackle Inc. but the program was downsized after one of the units broke away from the hive-mind and attempted to destroy humanity in the early 80s.

Retro style comic strip page. <br /><br />The top half is laid out in an art deco inspired way and features Richard Clayton Cold in a hammock being visited by the white glowing astral projection of Moonchild.<br /><br />Captions: The night, Cold is awakened by a glowing apparition appearing before him! It is Moonchild again! To Cold's relief, Grey skips here customary shameless flirting and gets straight to the point. Khalfani and a companion have been captured in Clarion's northers hemisphere in the disputed borderlands between the Forest of Verdissia and the equatorial swamps of the Amphibimen! She assured Cold the Apex Society will pay a sizable reward if Cold can get them safely out and back to Earth. Cold, cleaned out by his rocket pack's repairs, needs the money. He reluctantly agrees.<br /><br />The bottom half is laid out with borders with a green floral pattern.<br /><br />Panel 4: A lot of inmates in the prison camp have conversations. A brownish humanoid alien of a dwarfish stature wearing an ornate Jack Kirby style armour of various colours. He's holding a gold staff with an axe-like head that's charged with Kirby Krackle. The Scieneers of D'WirG A scientifically-advanced race from the Andromeda Galaxy, the D'wirGers utilize the mysterious "K-Energy" derived from the entities known as The Higher Powers. The D'WirG homeworld was destroyed in the Earth year 2005 after a protracted war with the Shrii Empire, but the Scienceers had established enough off-world colonies that their civilization was able to continue. The D'wirGer revere technological progress to such an extent that "science" has paradoxically been elevated to a rather dogmatic religion. The Scienceers exist under a theocratic dictatorship with a rigid hierarchy of "Thinkers" and "Menials." The species has sexual dimorphism comparable to most humanoids, but the D'wirGers culturally discourage gendered behaviour, social roles, and modes of self-expression like dress or affect.

I’ve been experimenting with watercolor brushes on Clip Studio Paint and dare I say it’s looking preeetty watercolor-y??

My main gripe is that the brushes are by default pretty “watered down” so I might need to make custom ones that put down more “paint” so to speak

A little update on the baby elephant I'm modeling using the free SDF Prototyper Blender add-on…

Added a few non-SDF elements: the tusks and ears, because the current version of SDF Prototyper doesn't really allow creation of such shapes yet.

Next steps: mesh the SDF object, join with the non-SDF objects, then remesh in Sculpt Mode, and add some minor refinements.

Making a first model using the free SDF Prototyper (V2) add-on for Blender.

The add-on uses Geometry Nodes, and since the UI is a bit quirky, I find it easier to change parameters and connect nodes directly in Geo Nodes.

This past Sunday happened something that doesn't happen to me a lot: we finished our 3-years long Pathfinder Campaign.

I felt that I had to somehow commemorate the milestone, so I took some time to do a set of portraits of our characters with their "after campaign" look.
