Sketch of some transparent characters that I think live in an aerial environment, with bubbles of water floating around. # # # # #
Drawing of two transparent cartoon characters, one in the foreground is reaching towards a large water bubble that contains some eel like fish swimming in it. The image is coloured to look like a vintage comic from the 60’s.

Always surprised how challenging it is to “go simple” when I style my comics. This is my latest attempt—for example, by going with a limited colour palette, and a minimalist composition. I’m sure I could take this even further, but it’s so hard! # # # # #
Panel one of four of a cartoon drawn in a vintage style with minimal detail. A character has stumbled upon a perfect yellow cube on the floor with a question mark printed on one side.
Panel two of four of the same cartoon. The character is now on his hands and knees next to the cube. The speech bubble reads, “Is this a mystery?”
Panel three of four of the same cartoon. The character returns to a standing position and is gazing upwards in deep reflection. The speech bubble reads, “Maybe it is. Maybe it isn't. I can’t tell.”
Final panel of the same cartoon. A second character enters the frame. Both characters are glancing inquisitively at the box. The speech bubble above the second character reads, “Maybe you should open it.”

Garbage Gecko

Some time ago a friend was working on ideas for characters, one of which was a gecko-like creature that collected junk. This was a sketch I drew as a result of that conversation.

Kairi July Arrt Club Challenge 2023

For a art challenge I did in another discord server, I chose to draw my cat Kairi in four different styles/mediums!

•Cartoon (Digital Line Art)
•Emote (Digital/Anime)
•Semi-Realistic lineless (Oil Painting on Canvas)
•DnD/TTRPG (Watercolor with Pencil outline)

My dog just came into the house with a snail on his back. Had I the artistic skill, I'd draw a little cartoon of a snail riding a dog as if charging into battle.

If any artists are bored, I'd love to see such a thing. I'll boost the crap out of it if anyone is feeling ambitious.

Outer space. A cartoon bunny is flying across the screen in front of a planet, offering a glowing egg towards the viewer. The bunny is wearing an orange outfit and has a glass bowl around its head, with holes for its ears and body. In the background is a purple nebula and a few planets or moons.

Very proud of myself as an # today — on December 27 I set a challenge to make 10 # for each of 34 # # I have and one month later I finally finished them all 🥳

My next step is exporting them from Assembly, the graphic design app for iOS I use, individually as high-quality PNGs for t-shirt, mug etc. designs on #, and then using # to bulk-convert them all to 256x256 # for use on messaging apps! # # # # 👍

More than 5 years ago I painted our own wedding invitation.
It falls on the unusual style hehehe.

And I can tell our guests were super happy with the invitation cards.

With this piece, I wanted to express the inherent duality of... nah, it's just a good old pixel fan art of a cartoon that makes me laugh since I saw it as a kid: Hyde and Go Tweet, 1960 film by Friz Freleng

Two versions of Tweety, the regular nice birb one standing close to the viewer in a dramatically lit corridor, and the monster Tweety Mr. Hyde version, standing menacing behind him, ready to give regular Tweety a scare
Screenshot of the show that inspired my pixel art version. Monster-Tweety running through a similar corridor, being scary and funny

Hi! :artpeek: I'm new here. :mastodance:

My name is Tom, and I love to draw to bring ideas and characters to life. Cartoons are my style of choice. I prefer to draw with a pencil and ink on paper and color my work digitally.
Creating funny characters to make people smile is my passion. :)

I usually don't like social media, with all its toxic algorithms. But this looks comfy. Let's connect! 🙃

Becoming a mum has made me aware of so many things… like, who I actually am. Children are such an honest mirror long before they can talk. It’s scary but I think I’m ready to leave the box and accept responsibility for my life.

Cartoon with 4 panels. Panel 1: person with a big wooden box in their arms, smiling. Text: “ when I was younger they gave me a box for me to fit into “
Panel 2: the same person is down twice. First inside a thing and long box. Only the head and feet can be seen. Then inside a star shaped box, with head, hands and feet sticking out at the tips of the star. Text: they were nice, too, and allowed me to try different shapes and sizes.
Panel 3: white text in black background: but at one point I realised I can either get rid of the box — or make myself smaller to fit into it.
Panel 4: text: guess which one I chose. The person is down again, crouching inside a box that’s visibly too small
