Always surprised how challenging it is to “go simple” when I style my comics. This is my latest attempt—for example, by going with a limited colour palette, and a minimalist composition. I’m sure I could take this even further, but it’s so hard! # # # # #

"The Alliance of Wood and Fire"

Artwork I did on my phone for TidalG57 (twitter) of his Sea Of Thieves pirate meeting Madame Ching

Background is a Sea of Thieves tavern and completely made of wood, the bar sits on top of barrels lined in rope, barrels of grog can be seen behind the counter on shelves (the shelves being built from old ship parts is lined with ship sails). Stairs can be seen in the background and a lantern nearby the two characters illuminates a sign reading "Drinking Spot." The pirate on the left (TidalG57) is a bearded blonde man, wearing a red long coat, blaxk long gloves, black pants, a black belt with a gold decorative buckle, and a light gold colored shirt. Hes got white, glowing eyes, painted with black smeared makeup, a eyepatch, and a green pirate hat with a feather inside. He's holding out a plank of wood to Madame Ching, the South China Seas Pirate Queen, who looks on at him with her arms cross suspiciously (to the right, facing him). Verson 1 Madame Ching includes her bun and braid, hair parted to the side covering her right eye so only her blind eye is visible. Shes got long purple/black hair and her traditional red robes/dress/wrap and tan belt on

Very proud of myself as an # today — on December 27 I set a challenge to make 10 # for each of 34 # # I have and one month later I finally finished them all 🥳

My next step is exporting them from Assembly, the graphic design app for iOS I use, individually as high-quality PNGs for t-shirt, mug etc. designs on #, and then using # to bulk-convert them all to 256x256 # for use on messaging apps! # # # # 👍
