The Tabernas Oasis Series.
While exploring the Tabernas desert in January, I came across an oasis. Or, at least, that is how I would describe it. This is the 7th and final photo in the oasis series - all photos were shot on film.

My week of monochrome takes a wild and dramatic turn.

"One wading a Fall meadow finds on all sides
The Queen Anne’s Lace lying like lilies
On water; it glides
So from the walker, it turns
Dry grass to a lake..."

Low-angle monochrome photo, of an overgrown field of long grasses. In the foreground is a spray of Queen Anne's Lace flowers, white on long stems, in various stages of curled to fully-unfurled. In the background on the horizon line, is a dark bush with long branches, reaching skyward like flames. The sky itself is full of dramatic storm clouds.

So # is a thing. I'll play along.

Last year we spent part of summer vacation in #, in the # # in #. One of the days we took a grueling* # to a Hütte, for beer, the most amazing Almkäse ever, and tremendous views.

*OMG, so effing difficult, yet these youngish studs were practically flying past us as they hiked up with their parachute packs, so they could paraglide down, over and over. Whew!

# on the way up.

Monochrome photo of an old wooden Alps shack (Hütte), with a stack of firewood lining one side. In the background to the right is an orchard, and to the left str pine trees below a large, distant mountain. The angle of the shack's roofline against the sky, juxtaposed against its angular foreground shadow, make for an interesting composition.

Just saw somebody post a # hashtag, so I’m accepting it as a challenge to do the same.

This is just below Hart Lake on Railroad Creek in the Cascade Mountains of Washington state. The exposure was made in 2019 during a trip to Holden Village.

A black and white photograph in landscape orientation of a mountain valley. Mountains begin in the upper right corner of the frame and cut diagonally through it, exiting about midway up the left side. The mountains vary in tone from deep gray (almost black)n in the upper left to mid-gray on the right. On the right side of the foreground is a tall, darkly-shaded pine tree which extends from the bottom of the frame to the top, obscuring a small portion of the mountains behind it. On the left side of the foreground are bright gray grasses and shrubs. The sky above the mountains is filled with puffy clouds that vary in tone from dark gray to brilliant white.
