Riannoc WIP

Decided to skip the “witch” drawtober week and go right to “undead,” because it gave me a more interesting idea with the Risen limbs I think

Digital work-in-progress line drawing of Riannoc, a firstborn sylvari from Guild Wars 2. Corporeal risen limbs reach out to him, grasping for his death.

New artwork for The Garden Path illustrated in #

I've been working on The Garden Path since 2018, and releasing the game later today.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1638500/The_Garden_Path/

https://carrotcakestudio.itch.io/thegardenpath
An illustrated poster reading 'The Garden Path'. The scene is at night. In the centre of the image is a campfire. A masked character is watching the fire on the right, while a nearby character observes fireflies above the fire. Pine trees surround them. A bear and boy, both with rucksacks, are approaching them from the left. A river and bridge are seen at the bottom of the image, reflecting a moon and stars. A wooden caravan can be seen dimly in the background.

Currently redoing my recent sketches in digital, more of this style to come as I am having a lot of fun with it.

Alright, I've managed to get the text tool up to a point where it can be tested: https://krita-artists.org/t/text-tool-thread/57973/60

All the plain text editing bits are in place, including input method support, vertical text mode and editing of the basic wrapping area. Right now I'm hoping for feedback in this area to get some papercuts out, so I can afterwards dive back into the nitty-gritty to prepare everything for rich text editing.

When I was a child, Tenchi Muyo was one of the anime I looked forward to watching on a program called Band Kids here in Brazil. Obviously Ryoko was my favorite character and to this day, whenever I can, I make a fanart of her.

# # # # # # # # #
EN
Fanart of the character Ryoko Hakubi, from the anime Tenchi Muyo. The scene is from a frontal angle that goes up to the character's waist, she is lying on a futon wearing the Tenchi character's kimono, which has blue colors and a red shirt underneath. Her right hand is above her head and her left hand with its fingers partially covering her lips, Ryoko is blushing, as if she were looking at Tenchi himself, she has almost whitish-blue hair and yellow eyes. The futon has green sheets with a white bedspread and pillows, and the floor is yellow.
PT

Well, maybe it's time to use this page properly. So, #.
Hi, I'm Heru. I'm personally a children's book illustrator but I'm also building a little animation studio called Losmunos. Here's a picture I drew a couple of years ago because I rarely draw anything for myself anymore. # # #

Ya-ha-ha! Just completed my Korok piece! Originally, I wanted to make this a desktop wallpaper, but decided it looks better in this format. I love these guys so much!

Ok ok last one today. Was just feeling so inspiring today and came up with this character design. I don't have a name for her exactly. I've been saving the drawings under the name "puna" but I'm not sure if it fits at all. Any thoughts about this character or where she should go/do next? Maybe any personality traits?

A # rendition of one of the prompts for #! It’s been a while since I made pixel art in color. I used just 4 colors for it and kept the palette visible. Drawn with #.

A 4-color pixel art rendition of an orange sunset along a beach. The silhouette of a person holding a surfboard walks along the shoreline which reflects the orange clouds and the landscape in the background. In the background are some hills which appear lighter along the bottom and darker near the top with the silhouettes of trees.

Head practice. I’ve been having a tough time with hair-do’s and beards. I can get absolutely lost in them sometimes and never feel like the painting is finished. Much like real hair do’s I suppose, you’ve got to set a time limit on how long you can fiddle around with it and then just move on and get out the house.

Ms. Dumont raised an eyebrow.
“The suit of armor doesn’t really *go* with the Victorian-haunted-house atmosphere. The owners really are overdoing things. Well, at least I’ll be able to debunk this one quickly.”

From her hiding place, Milly barely suppressed a giggle.

# and # and also # folks;

I've been very happy with GraphicsGale for my pixel art and tileset making at low resolutions but I've got a cool graphics tablet now begging to be used at larger scale. I've heard # can be used for this kinda thing, but I'd love to hear what what folks are using or even just what Krita users are doing for workflow. Any recommendations or weigh ins welcome.

Loving the latest # drawings!

Bit sad though- I initially read # as #. The image of a Broccelot sprang fully-formed into my mind, & then I realized I had read the prompt wrong! I have decided everyone deserves to see it anyways- or at least, a quick-&-dirty image edit of what my drawing would have been!

Without further ado, I give you:

The other day @Curator asked what our favourite brushes were and I realised that I only use customisable brushes on Krita.

I can't share them with you as they are (they're far from optimised)...

... but I can give you a little tutorial on how I made the tool I use most often: the old texture brush which allows you to do things like the image below.

5) Every year, I redraw my first digital art piece and every year I'm so proud of how far I've come as an artist.

favorite brushes for #

@davidrevoy's 2023-01 bundle https://www.davidrevoy.com/article953/krita-brushes-2023-01-bundle are my most regular use, I think!

@Rakurri's https://rakurri.gumroad.com/l/rakurribrushes2 are a close second. It's an absolutely massive pack, lots of variety.

@wavenwater's copic/micron brushes have been another favorite recently https://krita-artists.org/t/wavenwater-concept-art-traditional-medium-beta/60632

this big Concept & Illustration pack is also fantastic https://krita-artists.org/t/concept-art-illustration-bundle/7448

Almost all of my digital painting hinges on this funny lil guy I made for # called TRI INKBRUSH SCALAR, a 45-degree rotated triangle. It's shockingly versatile!

For # , I use GrafX2's diamond-shaped brushes *immensely*.

In general I find that angular brushes are way better at defining shapes than circular ones.
A set of 4 screenshots displaying krita brush settings:
- Pixel Engine
- Predefined image (triangle)
- Size 103.5 px
- Rotation 45 degrees
- Spacing Auto (0.20)
- Linear size pressure curve, from 41% size at 25% pressure to 100% size at 75% pressure
- Pattern "03_default-paper.png" in subtract texturing mode
- Pattern brightness 0.35, contrast 1.0, neutral point 0.5

A digital painting of Tony Verdeschi from the series Space 1999, Season 2. Made in Krita from a photo reference. The background is a difumined windy effect of green, blue-white and brown stokes of brush.

Hi! I am Szilárd, a Hungarian animation teacher in a secondary school by day, director, 3D artist and climber in the leftover time.

I'm the director (and generalist) of a work-in-progress sci-fi animated series project titled Budapest Spaceport.

I'm contributing art for the open source Pioneer Space Simulator

I mainly use # and # and a bit of Substance Painter.

My main interests are # # #, # # #

There are a few generic art ones, usually one of these is enough:

Then media/art type; for you, # , maybe also # # # # - and maybe the program you use to make them? # or # or whatever.

You can also try # , #, etc. :D

So apparently there's a new hashtag for an art challenge : #

I absolutely love this :shibalaugh:

So here's a #, a french low-cost and fast train. I personally never took it but it seems to be bound to me because of a scarf I knitted which had this exact blue and this exact pink (and I did not know it at that time :shibalaugh: )

I woke up too early today, so I tried to make the most of my morning and went to the park to draw some birds, in particular Coots.

I can tell you I prefer Geese as my subjects as they actually stay put, while the Coots just zipped around the whole time. Saw some other birds, like the usual Mallards and a Cormorant that was being chased away by said coots, which I couldn't get a good look at because it was diving all the time.

I had wanted to get a proper sketch of Coot feet, but alas.

#
Several small black and white digital sketches on a single page. Top: coot in puberty, noted by its white chest feathers on a black coat, sitting in the grass in front of water.
Next at the right, vague sketch of coot in puberty, standing, showing its legs and big feet. Coot flippers are different from duck flippers in that they don't have connective membrane between 'toes', but rather little appendages to the side of each 'toe'. These are not visible in the sketch.
Down to the left, adult coot (a bird with fully black feather coat and a white beak that extends to its forehead) feeding a sillouette of a coot-chick whilst swimming.
Down to the right of that, adult coot swimming away from viewer, its feet visible in the water.
Finally, at the bottom, adult coot on nest, facing a chick at its side, in the background there is a silhouette of another adult coot.

🌸 Squiggled Bloom 🌸 A kaleidoscope of colors dances across the canvas, capturing the essence of joy and imagination. 🌸✨ Let your mind wander through this abstract wonderland and embrace the beauty of art that knows no boundaries! 💫 # # # # #
This image is a digital painting titled "Squiggled Bloom" created with Krita. It showcases a vibrant and abstract composition bursting with colors. In the center, a whimsical and intricate arrangement of squiggles and curving lines takes the form of a blooming flower. The petals of the flower exhibit a mesmerizing blend of hues, ranging from fiery oranges and deep purples to soothing blues and lush greens. The background is filled with an array of vibrant brushstrokes, resembling a dynamic and energetic atmosphere. The overall effect is one of joy and creativity, as the artist skillfully captures the essence of a blossoming moment through a playful and colorful abstraction.
