Donations to my # short film now at

725/2000

Yay! It makes me dream of hitting $1,000 in the first week of the campaign. Thank you all so much for coming through for me, as I imagine a future with no governments or politicians or police, and technology exists to make every village self-sufficient so capitalism is no more. We can dream of the world we want to live in!

Yay! It's always nice to wake up to good news. About 6 days after launching campaign to use # to imagine a # future, we've now raised 30% of our goal. Your generosity is touching! I still need your support to boost the drive, and donate if you can, so I can tell a story set in a world with no governments, no politicians, no police. Just ordinary folk running their lives.

A generous donation takes me a step closer to imagining a future with no central governments, no politicians, no police and where communities use restorative justice to handle crime. I'm doing this through a short film, and relying on your support to spread the word since platforms like # exclude me, due to how global finance systems are set up.

No utopia is perfect. There will always be some kind of pain, so in my # short film, a couple fight over chicken, but this is not just material for a dark comedy. It is a talk about food as the # crisis disrupts farming, with inspiration from food preservation techniques in pre-colonial cultures Help me make this film with a boost, or # if you can.

Now at 354/2000 four days after I started a campaign to use a dark comedy film to envision a # future with no central government, no politicians, no military - everyone participates in running the country and they use restorative justice to handle crime with banishment as last resort. I'm excluded from # platforms like # so I rely on you to spread the word!

Someone asked if ostracism in my shortfilm fits # I borrow from pre-colonial cultures to imagine how communities will handle crime yet there's no government/police using violence/jail in the name of justice. They will use rituals of reconciliation/restorative justice, but if a person is unrepentant/unwilling to pay compensatory fines, they get banished. Help me make this #

After today's donations, I'm about 7% funded 2days after I begin seeking your support to make a # shortfilm themed on direct democracy, community governance, and self-sustaining villages with all the goodies needed in modern life. I'm excluded from platforms like # so I'm counting on you to help spread the word, or give what you can to help me visualize this future🙏

I'm crowdfunding for my new short film, a # story focused on direct democracy, and need your support. I can't do a kickstarter since all such platforms only allow creators from particular countries, excluding mine, yet I really want to imagine a future without capitalism and central governments. There are lots of perks for each $$ you can spare!

I'm making a new film, a dark comedy set in a # world where direct democracy thrives, no politicians, no central governments, where communities are self-sufficient and help each other to survive the climate crisis. But I need your support to imagine this future.

Autumn Owl

Nothing like a wise owl to keep me company on a crisp autumn day. Such a cool experience, I really enjoy seeing owl's out in nature and truly enjoyed photographing this barred owl resting while traveling the Natchez Trace in north MS.

Mountains seem pretty permanent, and yet not just an earthquake, but weather, water, and time can change their form. Boulders cascading down a draw once were part of a mountain, and now make their way downward in a (generally slow) shift and change to the landscape.

A couple years ago, I was out in the middle of a snow storm, getting as many photographs as I could. On my way home, I spotted the Norfolk Southern 1198 train just sitting on the tracks. The engines were idling, and when they turned on the lights, I knew they were getting ready to move on.

I'm #, # , # , # and I wanted to share some of my art with you.
I've been drawing since before I could speak, and I'm 53 now! I have a vast amount of work to show, so I decided to just share my four latest pieces, along with my links.

Art is my main form of communication and is really my only way to get through to other people. Some people think because I use a cute vocabulary, my art is just funny -and that's ok, but I hope viewers can see that I'm trying to express something deeper than that.

One of my lifelong projects is # Series, which I started in 2009 and continue to this day, showing my takes on the records that made me who I am. Music is my main inspiration in life!

I've worked as a graphic designer my whole adult life, until the beginning of COVID, when I lost the job I thought I'd have til I "retired": layout designer for my local newspaper. Since then, I've been working in a grocery store, thinking it would be temporary til things "got back to normal"... but they never did, and I think, never will. So I am definitely interested in creative opportunities!

My Site: http://www.norncutson.com/
My Shop: https://www.redbubble.com/people/norncutson/shop

And here are my four most recent pieces. I am ALWAYS working on something, I've got sketches going, WIP going, and dreaming up (sometimes literally!) new ideas all the time!

Follow me for more!
I'm always posting sketches, WIPs and digging through old files!

Thanks for reading!

My take on the cover art of Shakespears Sister's GOODBYE CRUEL WORLD.

A blue-tinted image. Two white women posing, one in profile, looking skyward, elegant; the other gazing directly at the viewer, creeping up in goblin mode.

Text, top right corner, thin pale blue handwritten scrawl: "Shakespears
Sister
goodbye
cruel
world
x".
My take on the cover art of Alice Coltrane’s JOURNEY IN SATCHIDANANDA.

On an orange gradient background, a cis black woman sits on bended knee, in a sage blue and metallic gold kurta. She looks deep in heavy thought. Her hair is in a tight afro, she wears a headband that matches her outfit. She wears wooden beads and a gold necklace. The tail of her robe is spread out before her.

Text in center top, pale yellow sans serif: "ALICE COLTRANE". Below, n yellow sans serif: "JOURNEY IN SATCHIDANANDA. Below, in thin pale yellow sans serif: “Featuring".

Below, in pale yellow sans serif; "PHAROAH SANDERS".
My take on Senorita Dido, of TWIN PEAKS: THE RETURN.

A black and white image of a pale, moon-faced Latin woman. She gazes directly at the viewer with large, calm, dark eyes. She has a beauty mark over her right lip.
She has a modest feather headdress, jeweled barrette, layers of necklaces, and a dress with a regal collar. The dress has sequined detailing over sheer fabric. We see her in head-and-shoulders-view against a black background.
My illustration of the band Lush!
The four band members, from left to right: Phil King, Emma Anderson, Mili Berenyi and Chris Acland.
Phil stands with hands on hips, looking serious, wearing a black outfit with white V-shaped stripes. Emma is holding her guitar and wearing long sleeve ivory and ivory stockings under a black jumper. A white headband holders her dark hair back, and her bands shield her eyes. Miki wirlds her guitar. Her flaming red hair stands out, as does her green t-shirt with red trim, polka dot sequined skirt, ripped black stockings and red shoes with gold buckles. Chis is wearing a comfy cozy ivory fisherman's sweater, as he pops out from behind Miki, smiling and laughing.
Behind them is a psychedelic swirl of colors, lights, patterns and textures.

A portrait image of a Blue and Gold Macaw that I photographed at a nearby botanical park and animal habitat venue. These birds are so colorful and beautiful and make great photograph opportunities for any avian enthusiast. An artistic effect was used for a unique finish. Not Ai artwork.

A fun still life with a specific purpose! In January 2021, I painted my setup and a piece I was working on (a painting of me painting a painting… very meta.) I later used it on my business cards. Since I’m reprinting those, I thought, why not paint a fresh “selfie”? (Phone number omitted.)

I drove part of the Icefields Parkway in Banff National Part in July 2021, but didn't make it all the way to Jasper - that's a pretty long day trip from Calgary. There are many scenic views along the way, like this one at Howse Lookout over the Saskatchewan River.

Hello,

I like to introduce myself.

I’m a German artist and painter. I used to paint in oil but I had the opportunity to live a few years in China and used the time to study Chines art by an old Chinese master. Therefor my focus is now on traditional Chinese painting.

I love to share my art and also see yours.
