Square black-and-white photograph. Extremely minimal composition showing a small set of cat whiskers in close-up. Fine, curved lines enter the frame from the right side and sweep gently toward the center, some sharp, others faint and blurred. The background is bright and featureless, creating a high-key surface where the whiskers appear as delicate, floating arcs. No other details of the cat are visible.

In 2023 I started teaching myself Clip Studio Paint as I began experimenting with an alternative to working exclusively with vector drawing. The process is much less demanding and intensive than my vector art workflow and produces a much more innate style.

This one was made between July and November 2024. I'm still not sure if it's done but I might get it printed up and have some fun hand finishing it.

White organic shaped lines and flowing forms on black background forming a circular ornamental mandalic pattern emanating outwards. The overall shape might resemble an intricately detailed heraldic shield.

In between bigger projects, I enjoy animating and drawing simple loop effects. While these take a lot of time to create, I love the process!

This image depicts a pen plotter drawing of a strikingly detailed skeleton merged with a large tree. The skeleton stands at the center, arms outstretched, with its ribcage aligning with the tree's trunk and its limbs transitioning seamlessly into branches. The tree's roots are robust and deeply entrenched in the ground. The background features a dense forest silhouette with subtle hints of light, suggesting a nocturnal scene. Twinkling stars dot the sky, adding a mystical atmosphere to the image. Below the image, a caption reads, "A star that is granting death wishes." which is the line from a song that inspired this artwork.

b/w photo of a right hand putting three fingers on a dark wooden floor board. texture and veins of the skin are very pronounced, arm disappears into a dark background.
high-key b/w shot of an old theme park ride track over a pond of water covered in algae that appear white
long empty hallway of a school building in b/w with white walls. the floor has a checkerboard tile pattern and reflects the windows a little where daylight comes in. a closed door is at the far end
nighttime b/w shot of a cobblestone pathway between large plain stone pillars, big metal lamps are hanging from a ceiling that's hidden in darkness. the path curves to the left. the cobblestone reflects some light

I do not only draw in digital, i also love working this inks, even thou i haven't been able to in a looooong while.
This two pics are from an old inktober challenge and still very dear to me!!

It's a black and white illustration done in ink. Pretty owl-boy with wings instead of ears. He has feathers on his neck and top part of the chest, also in his hands where he also has claws (talons?) He's holding a flute in his hands and has a sweet smile. He's under a tree with flowers and the full moon behind him.
It's a black and white illustration done in ink. This picture complements the owl-boy one. It's a raven-boy with long black hair, dark wings instead of ears. He looks a bit tribal. Has feathers in his eyes as if it was a mask. Also on his chest. He's smirking and kind of laid in a sexy pose. He's also under a tree with flowers.

Song accompaniment: “Things in Life” by Dan Brown.

"That was the closest we ever got, just 0.01cm between us. 57 hours later, I fell in love with this woman."

Yeah, I’m totally not obsessing over this movie :bunhduwu:

The drawing, which was done using the digital art medium, is based on a scene from the movie “Chungking Express” by Wong Kar-wai. <br /><br />However, unlike the movie, the palette is black, white, grey, and halftones.<br /><br />A man and a woman are sitting together at a bar. The lighting and ambiance suggest an intimate setting for these two. The man, dressed in a pinstripe dress shirt and a loose tie, held a glass cup against his cheek. His eyes are closed, and his hair is slightly disheveled. His other arm leaned on the table’s surface, presumably to help him support the weight of the woman leaning against him. <br /><br />This woman, his company for the night, had an air of mystery about her. She wore cat-eye style sunglasses, a trench-coat, and a blond wig in a midi cut styled with pin curls. Reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe’s hair for a better visual. <br /><br />As she leaned on him, the woman’s head was turned up. But since her sunglasses obscured her gaze from us, it isn’t exactly clear where she is looking at. We can assume, however, that she is looking at something at the ceiling. Or, in a simpler explanation, she might have just fallen asleep. <br /><br />This illustration of this movie still is stylised like a panel in a comic book. Two dialogue boxes, styled in a way that implied an inner monologue, says the following: <br /><br />“People change. A person may like pineapple today, and something else tomorrow.”

Black/white photo of a small old inoperable passenger airplane from under its right hand wing. Tall grass on the ground. The wing's landing flap is pointe downwards and the casing of the landing gear is exposed with parts of the hull missing.
Selfie from a low angle, wearing a black cap and glasses in front of a large steel beam of a bridge, looking off-frame towards the right<br /><br />There's a few stickers and graffiti tags on the beam and the sky is partly cloudy

A black and white illustration of a Beholder coming out from between two columns in a dungeon. It has a brain-like body, with a large eye in the center, a gaping, drooling mouth with sharp teeth, and flailing tentacles with eyes at the end.<br /><br />Painted with white gouache on black gesso with a dry brush border.

Image of the day is *Layers*, an in-camera # on @ILFORDPhoto FP4+ #. I love the layers of pinetree crests on this one, makes it much subtler than other similar head shots. # # # #
A short haired woman's head in profile, looking to the right of the image. The back of her head fades into the top of a pinetree. Black and white.

The Tabernas Oasis Series.
While exploring the Tabernas desert in January, I came across an oasis. Or, at least, that is how I would describe it. This is the 7th and final photo in the oasis series - all photos were shot on film.

I was struck by the aged beauty of this antique typewriter and had to capture it on "film" (pixels) to share it. For the writer or antique lover in your circle: Royal 10, available in print & other forms here: https://jon-woodhams.pixels.com/featured/royal-10-jon-woodhams.html # # # # # # # # #
Unlike most typewriter photos, this black-and-white photo depicts a close-up of the back plate of a vintage Royal 10 typewriter with its bold white typography--now pitted and marked with age--stating the model number and name as well as the words "Royal Typewriter Co., Inc., N.Y., U.S.A. Protected by American and Foreign Patents." The bottom edge of this regal machine is rusted by the ravages of time and age--probably around a hundred years!
