'Observer' is today's # post. I waited for a gap during a stormy dull morning and as I was getting ready to pack up it finally opened. The gull and myself stood there in awe.

Square format colour photograph taken using intentional camera movement, so detail is smeared by moving the camera during the exposure. Gentle waves are coming in over a flat sandy beach in the lower third, with the shallow water left on the sand reflecting the sky. A rocky outcrop is in the sea about a third up the right hand side of the picture, and again the wet sand reflects it. The top shows the blue sky and contrasting white cumulus cloud.

Going through old paintings and I came across these two that I don't think I posted. I hated them at the time I painted them, but now that I've moved past whatever difficulties they were giving me, I think maybe there's stuff about them to like.

A couple of old ramshackle fence posts hold up a barbed wire fence that blocks access to a field of tall green grass. Beyond that, there is another fence, and another field which backs onto a forest.
