A little update on the baby elephant I'm modeling using the free SDF Prototyper Blender add-on…

Added a few non-SDF elements: the tusks and ears, because the current version of SDF Prototyper doesn't really allow creation of such shapes yet.

Next steps: mesh the SDF object, join with the non-SDF objects, then remesh in Sculpt Mode, and add some minor refinements.

Making a first model using the free SDF Prototyper (V2) add-on for Blender.

The add-on uses Geometry Nodes, and since the UI is a bit quirky, I find it easier to change parameters and connect nodes directly in Geo Nodes.

More updates will follow in this thread.

Then started adding more details. And later changed the design further with a better front section and stop lights, more badass looking rims & wider tires. And then changed the hood and modeled an engine from scratch.

And then I was finally happy with it.

# Hello, I am a C++ dev, going to join a new company working in a graphic designing desktop application using #. Never used it before, watched halfway through # opengl series but not sure if it is the right path. Any hint where I can master # and # in general? Especially not as a # but as an application developer. I can't wrap my head around VAOs, VBOs, shaders, projection matrices. I understand how to use them but I can't build the intuition. And also, how do I display in # and manipulate objects? So far, I have displayed a 2D rainbow triangle but nothing more. Any help is appreciated.

It was challenging in a fun way to capture the show's distinct look in my style.
