Feast your eyes on my new & improved otter for #! I’ve painted so many otters but could only find this one picture for comparison, from a little over a year ago: https://mastodon.art/@KarinWanderer/109445033759759404

I've finally finished this painting that absolutely intimidated me because I spent so much time on the drawing part, I was afraid I'd ruin it

Watercolor painting. The hands of a goddess, covered in roses and sleeves of wheat, reach out to a hive of bees hanging in an almond tree. The honey bees buzz around her hands in greeting.

It. Is. Finished!!!
I still don’t have a name for the piece 😅
But I am happy 😊

I really hope it snows this year! Can you tell my kid named this one? I'm aiming to fundraise for new furniture this year. Our couches & mattresses are falling apart & causing us pain, so please check out my work & get some prints for yourself or others!

Hi! I'm Monday, I'm a vtuber-to-be who loves tea and sweets and indie and retro games! I'm still making my design and picking the first games to test. But I love her so far and I'm excited to share my journey here!

For now this space will be an excuse to talk tea and also to document my learning process. (Vroid textures are intense!) I'd love to hang out with fellow tea fans, baking fans, and geeks!

Mushroom lamp "Eislinge"

Three mushroom on a beautiful little driftwood, decorated with moss and little pine cones. They shine ice-green when switched on and have a little glow in the dark effect.

More impermanent art on fallen leaves. Here, a sycamore. It’s a bit like writing a letter then burning it. There’s something very healing in drawing on a leaf, with certain intentions and feelings in mind, and then letting it go. Under the tree that it fell from, then into the river that keeps it alive. A very meaningful little ritual I can’t recommend enough. 💚

Me holding up a bright yellow sycamore leaf against the backdrop of the tree where it came from, and the river that feeds it. The leaf is covered in intricate black doodles, mostly little vines and swirls and leaves.

Garden Snail 🐌 I might have to make mini prints of this cutie.

Patrons on my upper tiers have access to a timelapse video. You can watch me draw this from start to finish!

I certainly wasn’t expecting this on my walk today! I am in the middle of nowhere, mid-way through my outing and some 3-4 km from the nearest house or car park! Spooky!

(You get a bonus ‘Spot the Dog’ to play with in the second image!)

290 miles driven. Favoured Nice Place™, then up to Sutherland where the sunlight on quartzite and gneiss was mind-blowing.

It is *SO* good to be back!

Mountains seem pretty permanent, and yet not just an earthquake, but weather, water, and time can change their form. Boulders cascading down a draw once were part of a mountain, and now make their way downward in a (generally slow) shift and change to the landscape.

A little drawing from a bigger thing I'm making - gives me autumnal vibes 🍂

How are you guys cozying up? I lit my fireplace for the first time a couple of days ago, its magic 💫

If you have ever been in a dark, dark place -- so dark that no light peeks through at all -- then you know how much difference one tiny, flickering candle flame will make. No, it's not a spotlight or powerful illumination, but in a place of fear, it brings hope.

we went looking for macro subjects last night.

My wife spotted the tiniest mushrooms! about 1 mm high.

for photos this close, the depth of field is very very small. The mushroom shot is a composition of 15 shots. all stacked on top of each other.

after I collected my shots a tiny red bug was climbing on the tiny mushroom. So I quickly tried to get a focused shot of that bug. but it was crawling around so it took a few attempts to get the shot.

a super closeup photo of a very tiny white mushroom, <br />with an even tinier red bug climbing on top. The mushroom is 1mm high, so the bug must only be about a tenth that size.

Hello my fellow mycelium people. Let me present you the mushroom lamp "Black 'n White".

Milky-white casts of real mushrooms on a dark wood. They look so innocent, almost boring. But in the dark they show their true colors, because they have color changing LED inside!

The same mushrooms, but this time in the dark. It's a lamp and the hats of them glow in different colors!

September 11, 30 degrees Celsius during the day. I was hoping that the heat would end at the end of August, but it didn't. How can I get used to the "new normal" weather?
